Community guidelines

SCRAVEIT reels are public: anyone signed in to the app can watch them. Posts and stories are seen only by your friends, and chats only by the two people in them. These rules apply to all of them.

What we want to see

Food you love: dishes, cooking, restaurants, street food and food trips.

Not allowed

• Someone else's work. Post only your own video, photos and sound. No music, film clips or photos you don't have the rights to. Rights holders can send a takedown notice to the grievance officer below.
• Nudity or sexual content, and anything sexual involving a person under 18 (we remove it, keep a record and report it to the police, as the POCSO Act requires).
• Violence, threats or dangerous acts, weapons, drugs, or anything that encourages self-harm.
• Hate, bullying or harassment of any person or group.
• Other people's privacy: filming someone, their home, their vehicle number or their phone number without their permission.
• Spam, scams and fake reviews, or paid promotion you don't disclose.
• Anything else unlawful under Indian law, including the content listed in Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

How reels are checked

• Every new reel is checked by our team before it becomes public. Until then only you can see it.
• Anyone can report a reel from its ⋯ menu. A reel reported by three people, or once for putting a child at risk, is hidden until we look at it again.
• We act on reports within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. Reels showing intimate images of a person are removed within 24 hours of a complaint (IT Rules 2021, Rule 3(2)(b)).
• Breaking these rules can lead to removal of the content and, for repeat or serious cases, losing access to reels and chat. Ordering food is not affected.

Age and your data

• Under 18s can't post public reels, and we don't personalise reels for them (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, s.9).
• A reel shows only your chat name and the city you choose, never your exact location.
• Deleting a reel, or your account, deletes its video.
